Pokemon Trading Card Game Tournament for ages 9 to 13. Single knockout format. Registration required. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place; small takeaways for all participants.
Participants to use standard 60-card deck for matches, and are welcome to bring a 15-card side deck. Please check in advance that your cards are legal for competitive play!
Matches will be best of three games, with the winner advancing and the loser eliminated from the tournament. Games are timed (exact time allotment TBA). If the match is unfinished once time elapses, the winner will be the player who has secured more prize cards.
A room will be available for exhibition play after the first round. Eliminated players are encouraged to select their small gifts / takeways, then can decide whether to leave, or stay and play games with each other for fun. Note that the tournament and exhibition rooms will be a no-trading zone, however.
This is not a "teaching" tournament. Players must know how to play the Pokemon TCG when they arrive.

For Local History lovers! Join us to uncover the magic behind the City Archives!
Join City Archivist Jamie Sanford for an Archivist Talk as it enters its 11th year of operation.
He will introduce the services and work archives does to ensure that the history of Coquitlam and Coquitlamites is well documented for future generations.
Jamie will also provide an overview of the archives collections and discuss some of the most popular research topics at the Archives. Everyone is welcome.
Registration is recommended so that we can let registrants aware of any update.
