Are you looking for a book club that meets online? Look no further than our Virtual Book Club! We meet monthly on the last Monday of each month and we read some fabulous books.
For our meeting on Monday, May 27th from 7pm to 8pm, we will be reading The Measure by Nikki Erlick. In this novel, every person around the world receives a box that tells them the exact number of years they will live. In an instant, the world is thrust into a collective frenzy. Where did these boxes come from? What do they mean? Is there truth to what they promise? As society comes together and pulls apart, everyone faces the same shocking choice: Do they wish to know how long they’ll live? And, if so, what will they do with that knowledge? It is available as eaudiobook and an ebook on Hoopla and Libby and as a physical book.
For our meeting on Monday, June 24th from 7pm to 8 pm, we will be reading Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh. In a village in a medieval fiefdom buffeted by natural disasters, a motherless shepherd boy finds himself the unlikely pivot of a power struggle that puts all manner of faith to a savage test. This book hits every type of genre there is and the cover alone is perplexing! This book is available as a physical book and as an eaudiobook and an ebook on Hoopla and as a physical book.
