This program features a nature walk with speakers from the Hoy Creek Watershed Society, followed by hot drinks and a viewing of short films about salmon. Rain or shine, let’s learn about Salmon!
Join the library as we welcome the returning salmon at Hoy Creek! This special program will start at the library before walking to Hoy Creek to get a special talk by members of Hoy Creek Watershed Society about Salmon, and hopefully see the fish as they jump upstream. We will then return to the library for some hot drinks and a few special films on salmon and Indigenous culture around this mighty fish. Schedule: 10:30 start at room 127 City Centre branch, 10:45-11:45, walk to and view salmon, 11:45-1:00 return to rooms 136/137 for hot drinks and films. This is an outdoor program, rain or shine, so dress accordingly! Ages 6+, registration recommended but not required.
