Are you a low income or newcomer adult who wants to learn how to use a computer? The library is excited to present this special program where you will not only learn how to use a computer, but you can take the computer with you! As part of a partnership with BC Technology for Learning Society, we will be teaching the very basics of using a computer, starting with turning it on. Every participant will have the choice between a free desktop computer kit or a laptop for 50.00$, purchased at the event.
Registration is required. Computer type must be selected at registration. Library and partner organization are not responsible for ongoing computer support. The computers will be set up with basic profiles, apps, and confirmed to work, but the condition and quality of the computer is not guaranteed by the partner organization or library. Participants cannot change the computer type they have selected or the computer itself during the event.
