Join us for our first Drag King and Queen Story Time and meet Cheryl Trade and Skim - our amazing Royalty - for a story time and some time for questions.
Skim is a non binary lesbian! They are currently in their king era of drag and love all colours! They are currently finishing up their Masters in Fine Arts at the University of British Columbia and soaking up all the sun. Skim has lived on these unceded lands for three years and is a member of the House of Rice - an all Asian drag house in Vancouver.
Cheryl Trade is a TwoSpirit Queer Indigenous Drag Queen from Treaty 6 Territory in Northern Saskatchewan. She is currently living on Coast Salish lands in beautiful Vancouver BC. She is currently reigning as Imperial Crown Princess 50 for the Dogwood Monarchist Society and performs regularly in the Davie Village. Cheryl is passionate about blending her Cree heritage and upbringing with her drag performances and shows.

For Local History lovers! Join us to uncover the magic behind the City Archives!
Join City Archivist Jamie Sanford for an Archivist Talk as it enters its 11th year of operation.
He will introduce the services and work archives does to ensure that the history of Coquitlam and Coquitlamites is well documented for future generations.
Jamie will also provide an overview of the archives collections and discuss some of the most popular research topics at the Archives. Everyone is welcome.
