Join Coquitlam Public Library in this speaker series with people from diverse backgrounds sharing their stories.
This series brings awareness of people who are from different cultural groups and how everyone's story is different. The speakers have experienced prejudice, social exclusion or stigma. The best way for Canadians to build a better future for all is to understand and appreciate everyone’s experiences.
In this last session of this series we are partnering with Indy Batth (she/her/hers) of ikb Coaching & Consulting to learn more about authentic allyship. Anyone coping with the burden of racism needs allies. But what does it really mean to be an authentic ally? This is an important question for everyone to consider, especially those in leadership roles. Embodying equity informed skills will change how you show up and impact those around you - individuals, groups, teams, organizations and beyond. In this workshop, we focus on the inner work required to build equity informed allyship.
Registration is recommended for each session, but drop-ins are welcome.
Light refreshments will be served.
