Juried Art Exhibit Reception 

Discover creativity, connect with your community, and celebrate the talented artists in our community during a reception for the Juried Art Exhibit! Light refreshments will be served.

 Reception highlights include:

• A meet and greet with the people behind the art. Get a glimpse into their creative journeys and what drives them as artists!
• Live art demonstrations by members of the Port Moody Art Association
• Announcement of the winner of the People’s Choice Award at 2:00 pm
• Learn "How to View Art" with Evergreen Cultural Centre’s Art Educator, Wendy Anderson, from 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm. Wendy will offer helpful tips and guidelines for viewing art and give you the tools to explore and enjoy artwork in galleries, public spaces, and beyond. All ages are welcome on the tour; no registration required. Instruction will be in English.

The Juried Art Exhibit is on display from Oct. 5 to Nov. 15 at the City Centre branch.  Visit us any time during Library hours to view an exclusive collection of curated local artworks, all centered around the theme of inclusivity and sustainability.

People’s Choice Awards

Have your say! Vote for your favourite artwork and help us select the winner of the People's Choice Award from this year’s Juried Art Exhibit. The chosen piece will be displayed at the library for extended period of time after the exhibit closes.

• Starting Oct. 5, you can vote by paper ballot at the City Centre branch. Cast your vote between Oct. 5, 9:00 am and Oct. 26 at 12:00 pm. One vote per person.
• The winner will be announced at 2:00 pm at the Reception on Saturday, Oct. 28 during a short speech about the power of art in fostering connections and celebrating diversity.
