Make a reading recipe with Melvin the Salmon! Running at both City Centre and Poirier.
Let’s get exploring with reading! In celebration of this year’s Family Literacy Day and Freedom to Read Week, Melvin the Salmon is creating the perfect literacy meal, and he needs your help! Scattered throughout the library are genre menu cards, find them all, create a recipe, and return it for a chance to win a prize. Running at both the City Centre and Poirier branch mid January - end of February 2026, help Melvin find his menu, and learn about book genres along the way.
Prizes will be by random draw, with a first place and 2 runner ups. Participants get one chance each regardless of how many sheets are submitted, only fully completed sheets will be entered.
