Director Michael Fera and a fresh troupe of talented young performers bring to life an adaption of The Emperor’s New Threads by Peter and Melody Anderson, produced by special arrangement with the Playwrights Guild of Canada.
Based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale The Emperor’s New Clothes, this lively, humorous retelling is filled with bold characters, clever dialogue, and playful theatricality. The story follows a fashion-obsessed emperor whose vanity makes him vulnerable to two cunning tricksters—until an unexpected voice reveals the truth.
2026 marks the 13th season of the Summer Theatre Troupe, which has grown into an established platform for aspiring young performers and artists to connect with their peers, learn from professionals in the field and
gain valuable performance experience in a supported, professional environment.
Appropriate for family audiences. This program is a partnership with Place des Arts.
