City Centre Room 127Join us to learn the basics of Go! Aims for school-age children, it will cover the essentials and offer opportunities to play, learn and connect with others. For all skill levels. Drop-ins welcome.
Discover one of the world's oldest and most elegant strategy games! Join us at the library to learn the basics of Go, where beginners and curious minds are welcome to explore the ancient game of Go. And experienced players will be able to play with other people in the community. Aims for school-age children, it will cover the essentials and offer opportunities to play, learn and connect with others. All skill levels welcome.
One'll learn the basic rules and concepts of Go from an instructor, get a feel for the flow and strategy of the game, and have the chance to sit down and play with others in a friendly, relaxed setting.
Come sharpen your mind and have fun! Registration not required and drop-ins welcome. Whether you've never heard of Go or have always been curious to try it, this is the perfect place to start.
In this session, participants will:
- Learn the basic rules and techniques of Go
- Practice through hands-on play with fellow young players
- Build problem-solving, focus, and teamwork skills
- Enjoy guidance and support from experienced instructors
