Join the Library and BC author and musician Jan Stirling for a special author event for to celebrate Culture Days and the works of renowned Canadian author Ted Harrison.
Join the Library and celebrated artist and author, Jan Stirling, in a special Culture Days Event celebrating the art and life of Ted Harrison. Ted Harrison was an English-Canadian artist who is mostly known for his vivid painting of the Yukon. His love of the people and the land there brought him international acclaim. His distinct style, employing bright colours and whimsical scenes, appeals to all ages. In this event, Jan will discuss her friendship with Ted in the last 8 years of his life during a time when they both really needed each other. This friendship had a profound impact on Jan, resulting in the writing and publication of her memoir and first book. This event will be an exploration of art, friendship, and the written word.
