High School Debate Tournament

For students in gr. 9 to 12. Two-person teams. Participants must live or go to school in the Tri-Cities. Online registration.

Impromptu debate topics. Canadian National Debate Format. Preparation time: 15 minutes. Each team member speaks for six minutes. After members on both teams have spoken, the first speaker for each team provides a three-minute summary. 

Each team must provide an adult judge who will assist with judging other teams (not their own!). Two rounds on May 29. A championship round for top teams will be held on June 5. Prizes for winning teams.
