Come and learn about various marketing techniques and strategies to resist temptation to overspending.

Have you ever wondered why you decided to buy a particular item or why you chose one brand
over the other? Marketers have spent countless dollars and hours towards understanding human behavior. Participants will get to know about various marketing techniques and strategies to resist temptation from this interactive session. We will learn :

  • How marketers influence our emotions to encourage buying
  • How technology leads us to overspend
  • Different sales methods retailers use with in person and virtual stores
  • How pricing impacts our likelihood to purchase an item
  • Strategies to become self-aware protect ourselves from marketing tactics

Registration required. The Library will be offering this tutorial using Zoom.

  • Please register in advance and include your email address in order to attend.
  • The Library will share an invitation to the Zoom meeting via email 24 hours in advance of the session.
  • Please contact the Library if you have not received an email.​  We may be unable to email invitations to the Zoom meeting if you register less than 60 minutes before the start of the program.
