City Centre Room 137Explore the future of cinema in this hands-on AI filmmaking workshop for ages 15 and up.
Step into the director's chair! This interactive workshop introduces you to the exciting world of AI filmmaking. Learn what is currently possible in digital storytelling, view live demonstrations of leading video tools, and create your own short project. The workshop is facilitated by David Brooks, founder of RestartReality.com
- Live Demos: See state-of-the-art AI video tools in action, featuring a primary demonstration of Google Gemini’s Veo.
- Hands-on Creation: Use accessible, browser-based tools to script and generate your own video.
- Collaboration: Work individually or team up in small groups to bring your visual ideas to life.
This workshop is open to Teens aged 15 years and older. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop, tablet, or smartphone; however, iPads will be available as backups. No prior technology or filmmaking experience is required, as the workshop is beginner-friendly. The session is free, but registration is required.
Note: Participants under 18 may need a parent or guardian consent form depending on the software used.
