Are you looking for a book club that meets online? Look no further than our Virtual Book Club! We meet monthly on the last Monday of each month (except for December) and we read some fabulous books.
Over the fall months, we will be reading a selection of books by authors who will be participating in our Fraser River Literary Festival in November. Look for more details on our website and social media!
For October, we will be reading The Fourth Princess by Janie Chang. A gothic novel set in 1911 China, this book tells the story of two young women who are living in a decaying Shanghai mansion and who are forced to confront long-buried secrets from their pasts. As hidden truths emerge, they face growing danger—not only from those secrets, but also from a dark mystery within the mansion itself that threatens their future.

For November, we will be reading The Cure for Drowning by Loghan Paylor, the Canada Reads 2026 winner. After surviving a near-fatal childhood accident through mysterious Celtic magic, Kit McNair grows up feeling disconnected from traditional gender expectations. As Kit, their brother, and a young woman become entangled in a complicated love triangle, the outbreak of the Second World War forces them to confront love, identity, and the choices that will shape their futures.

In December, we will be reading The Tiger and the Cosmonaut by Eddy Boudel Tan. When their aging father disappears and is found wandering the woods in a confused state, Casper Han returns to his childhood home in British Columbia, where his family is forced to confront the decades-old disappearance of his twin brother. As long-buried secrets surface, they must unravel the truth about the past before they can finally move forward.
