Bear Smart 101

Come join us to learn about bear behavior, safety, and how to be Bear Smart in Coquitlam.

Would you know what to do if you encounter a bear? Coquitlam is home to bears who will soon be waking up and co-existing with us. They are starting to emerge from their winter dens and are searching for food. Join the City’s Urban Wildlife team as they discuss bear behavior, safety, and how to be Bear Smart in Coquitlam. There will be time for Q&A at the end.
