October 24, 2023 -  Screening 1: Eating Our Way to Extinction (1 hour 21 minutes, 2020)

Narrated by Academy Award® winning actress Kate Winslet, this powerful documentary showcases how simple changes to the way we eat can help halt catastrophic climate change and restore our planet.

This entertaining and surprising documentary will challenge the way you look at the food
industry and its connection to the future of our planet.   If food costs the Earth, who pays the price?

With commentary from some of the world’s best-known personalities and leading scientists, this is a powerful documentary that invites you on an eye-opening journey. It takes audiences on a cinematic journey around the world, from the depths of the Amazon rainforests to the Taiwanese Mountains, the Mongolian desert, the US Dust Bowl, the Norwegian Fjords and the Scottish coastlines, telling the story of our planet through shocking testimonials, poignant accounts from indigenous people, globally renowned figures and leading scientists. This powerful documentary sends a simple but impactful message by uncovering hard truths and addressing, on the big screen, the most pressing issue of our generation – ecological collapse.

November 7, 2023  -  Screening 2. 2040 (1 hour 31 minutes, rated PG, 2020)

In "2040", concerned about his daughter's future, award-winning director Damon Gameau begins a journey to explore what future could look like by the year 2040 if we choose to embrace the practical solutions for a better future.

This visually stunning film embarks on an optimistic quest, envisioning director Damon Gameau where human innovation and sustainable practices have rejuvenated the planet. Following the screening,  everyone is welcome to come and engage in a compelling discussion on how we can channel these innovations into our present reality, steering us toward a greener and more harmonious existence.

The event is free and open to the public. Come and join us for these inspiring and thought-provoking documentaries.

Following each screening, there will be a 30-minute facilitated discussion at approximately 7:50 pm, where you'll have the opportunity to share your thoughts, insights, and questions with other attendees. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of the conversation and take action for a better future! No registration is required, and all are welcome to attend.
