Braided Bracelets

A teens and adults only craft featuring jewelry made from upcycled fabric.

Try a new way to accessorize with upcycled clothing jewelry! In recognition of Global recycling day, March 18, in this craft we will create beautiful, one of a kind bracelets out of old handkerchiefs and fabric sections. Try something new in an accessible setting as we make bracelets together by cutting, braiding, stitching and setting our fabric. We’ll also learn a little bit about visible mending and the dangers of fast fashion.

Ages 14+ only, no kids allowed. All supplies provided, low level of skill needed, everyone can try this craft! Supplies for 1 bracelet per participant, registration is required and everyone must be registered to receive supplies. Scent/fume warning due to superglue use. Needles and other sharp objects being used.
