This May participate in the art of Senbazuru by learning how to make a paper crane and adding it to one of our displays. We want 1000 and more!
In recognition of Asian Heritage month, this May the branches of the library are participating in the ancient Japanese tradition of Senbazuru: The Japanese art of folding 1,000 origami cranes. This is a passive interaction program happening all month long at both the City Centre and Poirier branches. We will be hanging chains of paper cranes up and around. Every patron is encouraged to participate by making a paper crane to be added to the chains. Find the display table, learn how to make a crane, and leave yours to add to our supply!
